From the spooky delights of our Halloween Festival to the festive cheer of our Christmas celebration and the fiery competition of our Chili Cook-off, every event is a unique adventure. Our comfortable accommodations and riverside activities provide the perfect backdrop for unforgettable memories.

Annual BBQ Cook-off:

• October 13-14, 2023
• Registration for the competition takes place on Friday night. Two of the categories are turned in and judged that same Friday night. Most cook-off teams will spend the evening and night cooking until their category’s turn-in time on Saturday.
• Saturday morning begins with a cook’s meeting for all teams to check in and clarify the day’s schedule. Then there are 4 turn-in times and judging’s that will take place before the awards ceremony at 6:30PM.
• We have prizes and gifts that have been donated by the local community and businesses. There is a raffle and 50/50 to raise money. The money raised goes toward Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department Brown Santa.

Halloween Festival

• October 27-29, 2023
• We will have an area decorated in the spirit of Halloween out in our nature trail area. We will also usually run a hayride on Saturday nights throughout October in this area.
•  We’ll have a costume contest and a site-decorating contest with prizes awarded. That Saturday will be when we have on-site trick-or-treating for kids, followed by the last hayride of the season, then a family-friendly Halloween movie will be put on at the Pavilion.

 

Christmas Festival

• Every Saturday in December
• We will redecorate the nature trail in a winter/Christmas theme for Saturday hayrides.
• There will be times designated for pictures with Santa in the Clubhouse and family-friendly Christmas movies at the Pavilion or Clubhouse, weather dependent.

Annual Chili Cook-off

• December 29, 2023-January 1, 2024
• Registration for the competitions of the cook-off take place Friday at check-in. There are usually a couple of turn-in times with judging that night.
• The rest of the competition turn-in times are throughout Saturday, ending with the winner announcements. We have prizes and gift baskets that are donated by the local community and businesses with a Silent Auction.
• There is a hot rod (vintage vehicle) showcase and a friendly contest that happens simultaneously on Saturday.
