On October 29th, San Marcos City Park hosts this popular FREE event every year. Be sure to bring the whole family for a great evening of games, concessions, a haunted trail walk, a barrel train ride, a costume contest, and more! Get creative with your costume and you just might win – there will be a photo booth to capture your

Everyone raves about this stellar pumpkin patch on the Comal River in New Braunfels going on now through October 31st. It is pumpkin patch fun for all ages. Pick your pumpkin to turn into your own unique Jack-o-Lantern, take part in some great yard games, indulge in sweet treats, and take advantage of the many photo ops all around the patch. Join the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce on October 23rd and help celebrate local Hispanic culture with this FREE community festival. Dia de los Muertos is observed to celebrate, honor, and remember the lives of loved ones who have left this world. Thousands come out with painted faces to celebrate every year at this wonderful cultural heritage festival. Proceeds from the festival go directly to benefit the Chamber’s Hispanic Business Alliance, by awarding small business grants and scholarships to local community members.
Sprechen sie the language of fun? From November 5-14th, come on out for the ten best days in sausage history! Wurstfest is New Braunfels’ unique annual celebration rich in German culture, mixed with Texas-style fun!! The setting is at the gorgeous headwaters of the Comal River. Get ready for some good food, thrilling carnival rides, music, and much dancing. There will be German and domestic beer on tap, with some great local Texan brews thrown into the mix, and special events are happening with the finest Bavarian and Alpine-style entertainment.
WEIHNACHTSMARKT
Every year, Christmas comes early in New Braunfels. From November 19-21st, this Christmas market is filled to the brim with German charm and is a tradition that locals and visitors alike have been enjoying for years. Shop over 60 merchants and artisans offering beautiful German ornaments and other holiday decorations, collectibles, clothing, jewelry, and gifts. The 3-day market supports history education and preservation through the Sophienburg Museum and Archives.
